Update (Dec. 17 - 24 Weeks Even)

I'm 24 weeks along today! Mark and I will be parents in 14 weeks! This pregnancy thing really does fly by. In other news, my blood results are back and my lovenox levels are "perfect" so I don't need to increase my dose at all. Woohoo! However, my blood count / iron levels are a bit low so my Dr has instructed me to eat red meat (that's the first time I've heard that from a Doctor!). According to Dr Abbott, I'd be fine giving birth with my current blood count / iron levels but the problem is that they tend to fall quite a bit in the 3rd trimester...and since I'd obviously like to avoid a blood transfusion during/after labor, I think I'll just start eating steak on a regular basis. That and dark leafy greens...but spinach isn't that great for me since it counteracts the lovenox. So steak it is! Everything else is perfect. My test for gestational diabetes (the infamous orange goop / glucose test) came out negative. Dr A also said my weight gain going into the 3rd trimester is spot on since I technically started out underweight for my height. I've gained 25lbs so far and I'm feeling great! I LOVE being pregnant. It's like being let into this secret club for women. Everyone has been so sweet and won't let me carry anything...coworkers offer to get me (decaf) lattes during the day, people give up seats on the train etc. I'm also loving my big belly. With our little man running about 2 weeks ahead in terms of growth, I'm now looking down at what looks more like a 7 month belly...and I LOVE it! Earlier this week (about 23 1/2 Weeks), I actually SAW my belly move! That was nuts! I was lying down and was watching the left side of my stomach move all around. Very, very cool! He is always wiggling around these days. I find myself holding my stomach a lot and talking to him. I already feel like we have this incredible bond so I can't wait to actually see him in March! The 24 Week belly pic will be posted tonight. It's much bigger - but I can still see my feet (sort of). :)
