Brady is 37 weeks even today. He just loves his tunnel. Mark and I will hide on the other end and he will come racing after us - giggling all the way. The dogs also like it and will go running from end to end (Brady thinks that's pretty hilarious as well). Brady is becoming increasingly mobile these days. Not just walking and crawling (very fast) but CLIMBING on everything. Mark found him climbing on his dinosaur toy this week so he could look out the window. Sheesh. He sits up on his knees a lot these days - to play with stuff on his bookshelf, to look out the windows, and to play with the elliptical (he's fascinated by that giant machine Mommy and Daddy never use). :) He's so tall and just realized he can reach the books at the top of his bookshelf. Super. More books to throw on the ground (a favorite game before bedtime). It'll be interesting to see just how big he is when we go for his 9mo appointment next week. Here are a few more updates...(1) Reading. Brady has started talking a lot this month. He says "da da da da" and will hold up books, point to me and say "da?" (i.e. "Can you please read this to me, Mama?").
(2) Snow! Brady saw it snow for the first time on Wed., 12/09! It wasn't very much and he really wasn't that interested. :)
(3) Naps and Sleeping. We have a good sleeper on our ends still - thankfully. He goes to bed between 7 and 8pm (whenever he starts fussing) and will sleep until about 5 or 5:30pm. Mark will feed him about an ounce of milk and he will sleep for another hour or so. I'll then go in and give him his big morning feeding and he'll pass out for another 30-60min. Two naps a day - one around 10am for 1-2hrs and another between 3-4pm. He goes to sleep without a problem. It appears that "sleep training" finally paid off.
(4) Dog Food. No, he doesn't eat it but he certainly tries too. Brady loves crawling to the dog bowls whenever we're not looking. He's fascinated by the dog food and the water bowl. Oy. I guess he figures, he shares his food with the dogs...why wouldn't they share their food with him?
(5) Sharing - Please and Thank You! Brady likes to hand things to Mom and Dad when we ask for them. We then say "Thank you!" and hand them back to him. He loves this game.
(6) Food. This little one is eating a LOT. Typical meal - an entire banana, about 1/3 cup of chicken, 1/3 cup yogurt and a few "smiley snacks". I weighed him on the scale and it said he's a little over 20lbs. I was surprised it wasn't more. He seems so big to us these days! He also tried grapes for the first time this month - big fan! But his favorite is probably mac 'n cheese (the way Mama makes it!) and Andersen "Pancake Sunday" (the way Dada makes them). :)
